As a Promotions Intern, I wrote some scripts you have heard on the radio and created online contests for you to win your way into shows. The coolest perk was working events and meet & greets with artists like Milky Chance, The Regrettes, Noah Kahan, and more. 

I tried my best to keep my cool in these dream-like situations. Things were going well until Matty Healy of The 1975 appeared directly in front of me at Big Snow Show in 2022. I was supposed to direct the traffic of listeners for the meet & greet, but I quite literally could feel my starstruck knees locking below me. I started bawling out of pure joy the second I left the band’s field of vision. 

That moment was humbling, but Ian approached me later in the night and told me that exact passion was “what FM 102/1 does it all for.” I knew I was in the right place.
